Attention Winged Ones... It is that time again, when we flutter and converge on the square for the Annual Krewe Du Faye - Fairy parade!

Mark Your Calendars for the KREWE DU FAYE - FAIRY PARADE! Friday, February 16th at 8 p.m. We will gather in Jackson Square in front of the Saint Louis Cathedral for line-up and pre-entertainment by local performers. Everything Lovely by Oliver presents Fashion Soiree Thursdays beginning March 17th, 4-7 or so at 820 Rampart St. in the Marigny. Local fashion designers and costume artists, including myself, Oliver, Ellen Macomber and others, will be displaying their work for this weekly event. Enjoy cocktails and fashion featuring Easter Bonnets and attire. Artists may rotate so don't expect to see us all there each week. See you there!

Easter Saturday Cocktail Party at Chris Owens Club, March 26th 8:30pm-10pm, 500 Bourbon St. My new line of Easter Bonnets will be displayed and available for sale during the party. Afterwards quests are invited to enjoy Chris' entertaining show at the club. You may even see several EnRapturing ReVisions costume characters in the parade the next day. Tickets are $100 and include the party and Easter morning Breakfast and Brunch. Call 888-7608 for reservations about these and parade participation before March 16th.

Monthly Krewe Du Faye Picnics and Open Music Jam, Sunday, April 3rd at 4pm. Meet us at the River just off of Dumaine St. for a beautiful sunday picnic (bring your own) and social including an open drum and music jam with Krewe members and a blessing to the river. Kids are encouraged to join these events, which will be held monthly starting this month. The next event will be the week after Jazz Fest on May 8th.

French Quarter Fest Parade, Friday, April 8th, 10a-11a. The fabulous Krewe Du Faye Fairies have been invited to join this years' opening event of the French Quarter Fest beginning at Bourbon and Iberville for a 9:30 am lineup in route through Jackson Square. Because of the early morning roll time I am especially encouring our bright eyed fairy children to join in this event. Costumes are mandatory and all types of winged creatures are welcome. Please take note: We are a non-permit parade with a spontaneous route through the Quarter. No dues are necessary to participate. GAS, Saturday, June 12th, 8-11pm at the CAC. The Glass Art Society's conference close out party will be a blast! I'll have my own space in the Freeport Macmorran theatre for those wishing to see the latest in fanciful costume attire from Rosemary. Would love to see you there!

HENA (Hospitality and Entertainment Networking Association) Suppliers Showcase was held Tuesday, June 8th, 4-7pm at Mardi Gras World where EnRapturing ReVisions was promoting its latest business venture, Costumed Characters, for hire for private parties and events. Keep an eye on the website for the most recent photos of these characters at play!

EnRapturing ReVisions is getting lots of great press lately! Check out the local interview with Loretta Mimms on New Orleans cable Channel 78 through the end of June, Tuesdays and Saturdays with a Krewe Production at 9am and 9pm.

Also, I was just interviewed and videotaped for Home and Garden Television, to be aired in the fall of this year. Look out for exact date and time this summer and then check it out to learn how to make your own set of Doggie Fairy wings!


APRIL 2004

Spring has Sprung and so have I with some new designs and lots of great fun for the festival season! Come see me on: Wednesday, April 14th, 7-10pm, Beatnik a Go-Go, at Loft 523, 523 Gravier St. with featured designer Miss Claudia, fashion show at 8pm. Check out the newest designs by locals Anne Marie Popko, Oliver, Fi Fi Mahoney's, Malaca and myself. My work will feature festive cocktail hats and feather hairpieces, chokers and belts for spring.

Free Outdoor Festival 5-9 PM with local artists including photographers Michael P. Smith, BobnCompton, and Zack Smith, artists Joseph Cataldie, Jay Michael, and EnRapturing ReVisions by Rosemary. All door proceeds from Instruments A Comin' will be used to provide musical instruments for the band programs at local High Schools

Mardi Gras Event Schedule for Rosemary's Costume Shows
"Rosemary, creator of EnRapturing ReVisions costume pieces, has been creating art for the body for nearly 10 years. Her whimsical designs of masks, headdresses and fairy wings both enchant and delight their audience. Each piece is a one a of a kind original with a uniqueness unmatched by other designers to date. Viewers should not be surprised to be enraptured by the beauty of her creations."

Feb. 11th, Wedns, 7-10pm, A Valentine's/ Mardi Gras Show, at The Loft, 523 Gravier St. in the CBD Live runway models styling masks and headdresses by Rosemary and fashions and lingerie by the House of Lounge. Talented models will delight and entice with various antics of acrobatics and dance. Enjoy live musical performances by Ingrid Lucia. Come early to get a good view of the live show at 8pm. If you can't make anything else then DON"T MISS THIS ONE
Feb. 15, Sun, 11-6pm, Costume Cotillion at the Big Top, 1638 Clio at St. Charles. Local costume artists display and sell their work at 3 Ring Circus' 2nd annual show. Shop and have a drink on your way to the parades. Call 569-2700 for more info. FREE
Feb. 15th, Sun., 7-10pm, Mardi Garbs, at Cafe Brazil, 2100 Chartres on the corner of Frenchmen in the Quarter Recycle For the Arts hosts a costume and fashion show of recycled attire with masks and headdresses by Rosemary and various other reuse artists.
Feb. 21st, Sat, 7pm, The Krewe Du Faye Fairy Parade in its' 5th year, beginning in front of the Jackson Square Cathedral This well kept New Orleans secret has fast become a French Quarter tradition, celebrating in the delight of winged creatures of all genre. Open to the public and adults and children alike.. but you must be in costume or carrying an instrument. This year's parade will end at the river where a musicians circle awaits their arrival for a final bout of merriment, then onto an undisclosed as of yet venue to finish the party. All interested musicians please contact 948-2008.

Also to update you, the third annual 12th Night Celebration was a huge success this year with over 250 people in attendance. We were proud to have several special artists involved: Fifi Mahony's, Up/Unique Products, Anne Marie Popko, and Oliver Kroten. The Party Girl took the cake though, designing this fabulous event including Fire Dancers, Sammy and Ada, and Mardi Gras big heads and props by Studio 3. Thanks so much to Le Cirque Restaurant for providing the fabulous venue and appetizers and to all who attended! Hope to see you again next year! Have a Happy Mardi Gras!!!
